There have always been inheritance matters with unresolved succession. The reasons for this are complex, as family relationships can be interrupted for a variety of reasons. Wars and the associated flight and expulsion movements play a central role here, but more mundane reasons such as family disputes, often as a result of disputes over inheritance law issues, are also conceivable. Further problems often arise in connection with the documentation of family relationships, which is essential in probate court proceedings. All of this requires the services of an experienced heir tracer.
Probate courts and the court-appointed guardians of estates as legal representatives of unknown heirs utilise the support of heir tracing companies such as our company Alfred Wolf und Sybille Wolf-Mohr OHG in Iffezheim if necessary. Knowledge in the field of inheritance, family and property law and a wide range of international contacts are just as essential as the analysis of genealogical sources in archives and modern media. The origins of our company go back decades.
Alfred Wolf, founder of the company, who died in 2017, worked as an heir tracer from 1951 until his death. For around the first third of his entire professional career, he worked as an employee and then part-time self-employed in one of the oldest heir tracing companies before founding our company in 1984 and initially running it alone.
Sybille Wolf-Mohr, his daughter, joined the company in 1989 and, as a trained bank clerk, has been running the company together with the founder in the legal form of a general partnership since 1997. After the death of Alfred Wolf, she continued the company tradition as a registered businesswoman in the form of a sole proprietorship. At the same time, she has held the position of Chairwoman of the Board of the Verband Deutscher Erbenermittler e.V. for many years. She combines many years of experience in the field of heir tracing with economic expertise.
Klaus Amon, trained as a Württemberg federal state Notariatsassessor and thus as a notary and probate judge, worked for one of the world's leading heir tracing companies from 1987 until the end of 2018, including as an authorised signatory, general representative and head of the international heir tracing division in German probate matters. Since the beginning of 2019, Sybille Wolf-Mohr has once again managed the company together with him in the legal form of a general partnership.
The statement "Decades of experience characterise this company" is therefore no exaggeration!
Together with numerous other employees (including fully qualified lawyers and an in-house lawyer, Württemberg federal state notary's assistants, certified legal clerks, historians, media and information services specialists) - as well as employees in Poland and other freelancers within the Federal Republic of Germany - and with the help of a large number of contacts to professional colleagues in many countries around the world, we fulfil the requirements placed on us.
